Home Pal

Home Pal is an AI-assisted mobile application that tracks user habits, visualizes data, and offers suggestions for automations and home usage.

The main challenge was to design an app where users felt in control, even when the system was using AI to automate decisions in the background. I used a layered approach to address this challenge by designing the interface to provide gentle notifications suggesting automations based on observed behaviors that users could choose to accept, modify, or decline. Additionally, to maintain transparency, I implemented features that provided detailed descriptions to explain the AI's reasoning for any automated action.
